Update: Since October, we are excited to announce that there are no new unobtainable PS Plus platinum trophies to worry about in the latest batches of games brought to the service. However, there have also been no removals for any of the unobtainable platinums that reside on the service. That's the latest news, but check out the full list of unobtainable trophies below.
You may have come across an unobtainable platinum trophy on PS5 at some point in your time. So, we have made this guide that will help you avoid those pesky unobtainable PS Plus platinum trophies, closed servers, and broken DLC trophies.

All unobtainable PS Plus platinums
At present, there are currently three unobtainable platinum trophies, four discontinued platinums, four bugged platinum trophies, four broken trophy lists without platinums, and four broken DLC trophy lists. We have organized this list in a more digestible manner so you can easily decipher which trophies are on Extra and which are on Premium.

We have also compiled lists of any games on PS Plus that have unobtainable trophies even if they do not come with a platinum trophy. This also includes DLC trophies which can all be found in their own list below.

This section will outline all platinum trophies on PS Plus that have never been obtainable legitimately and look as though they will remain that way indefinitely. You can also find a list of discontinued platinums due to server closures, bad patches, and unusual circumstances.

Temporarily unobtainable PS Plus platinums

These PS Plus platinum trophies are some of the more frustrating ones as these platinums are technically obtainable. Unfortunately, they are incredibly buggy and don't usually unlock despite meeting the needed requirements. These platinums could be fixed by a patch in the future.

Platinum trophies that will soon become discontinued and unobtainable due to server closures can also be found in this section.

The Long Dark trophies have been listed due to an update that is set to release during March 2023 that will make all current save files void. This means players will have to start working on trophies like 'Faithful Cartographer' from the very beginning — though, the platinum should still be obtainable. The Mortal Kombat X trophies join the list due to an event that rotates in and out of circulation that impacts multiple trophies on the list — the platinum is still obtainable, it may just require some patience.

Here we have all of the broken trophy lists that don't have a platinum trophy to unlock. The issue is that the completion percentage will never reach 100%, which is equally as bad as an unobtainable platinum trophy.
