In addition, a second, best-in-class PS VR game is making the switch to the new headset: Beat Saber.Gran Turismo 7 trophies might be around the bend as the PS VR2 launch games lineup has swelled with news of compatibility for one of PS5's best racing games on PS5. A little footage was shown in the first-person perspective that looked startlingly immersive. This will be a free update, though very few other details have been revealed about what to expect performance-wise from the PS VR2 support. Frame rate is a huge factor in racing games, so while resolution can dip, the frame rate will need to be consistent if GT7 wants racers using the headset in their as-expensive-as-a-car home simulator rigs.Now, onto one of the best PS VR games. Rhythm action game Beat Saber will be coming to PS VR2, which is a surprise considering that Meta bought the Czech Studio a while back. The team has been supporting the first game for a long time, however; so it seems that Beat Saber will be safely supported on the next rig as well. No news of if this is a free upgrade or release date, but rest assured this is major news given the popularity of the title.Getting inside the GT7 cars will be so much fun!The PS VR2 unit releases on February 22nd, 2023 and costs $549.99/€599.99/£529.99. While the tech behind it is very different and very streamlined from the clunky PS Move controllers and mini processing unit from the first system, many are concerned about the lack of PS VR compatibility.
