Between the bonkers Ragnarok ads, the persistent reminders, and the fact that the title is critically one of the best PS5 games, Sony has already found tremendous success with God of War Ragnarok.Your new PlayStation kings.God of War Ragnarok sales bolstered by PS5 pack-inThe PlayStation Twitter account announced Ragnarok's success, congratulating Santa Monica for a job well done. To be the fastest-selling first-party title, that means Ragnarok outstripped the first week's performance of titles like The Last of Us Part 2, Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Marvel's Spider-Man, and, perhaps unsurprisingly, God of War 2018 — becoming the fastest selling game in the series so far. With the relative scarcity and sudden availability of PS5 stock in time for Ragnarok's launch, plus with Ragnarok being a pack-in title for the PS5, we're not too surprised that the title was able to succeed so quickly. That's not to say the game would not have found a large audience without selling along with the PS5 — it just might not have sold quite so blisteringly fast.
