PS Plus favourite from 2016 getting muscular free update By Kes Eylers-Stephenson, 21 Nov 2022 FollowtopicsBroforceDevolver DigitalPlayStation PlusKes Eylers-Stephenson PS Plus got fantastic shoot-'em-up Broforce back in the monthly games of March 2016. Now, over six years later, we are getting a free Forever update for the game that looks like it brings new characters and levels. Broforce is a superb side-scrolling shoot-'em-up that maximises the testosterone with your favourite heroes: Indiana Brones, Double-Bro Seven, Bro Hard, and cohort. The fantastic game came to PS Plus lineup for March 2016, but now is getting a new free update called Forever that is slated for release in 2023. Broforce Forever is coming, with PS Plus Warriors in hand.Broforce Forever is a free updateThe new trailer (visible down below) gives us a minimal idea of what to expect, other than it will be free and out in early 2023 with "New Bros, New Missions, New Freedoms." As Staff Writer Sean points out, you can see Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Xena Warrior Princess in the trailer, neither of which were in the original game. We imagine that we actually mean Broffy and Xena Brorior Princess in reality, unless you have a better guess down below! The gameplay was basically shooting stuff and rescuing prisoners in every stage, but it was executed with such gusto it was hard not to love it, especially in co-op — we can't imagine Forever will change the formula. The game arrived in March 2016, making it nearly six years between release and major update, alongside Galak Z The Interdimensional, the incredible Super Stardust HD, The Last Guy, Flame Over, and Re:ZERO Starting Life in Another World. Interestingly, we had totally forgotten that Sony used to allow members to vote on next months game sometimes in something called Vote to Play. Bring it back, we say!Anyway, new Broforce Forever free update coming your way in early 2023. We can't wait to get playing this one, maybe we will have to make a best platformers list to match our other genre picks like Best Racing Games on PlayStation. Excited?
