PS Plus discounts arrive for Black Friday on PlayStation Store

PS Plus discounts have arrived on the PlayStation Store for Black Friday, significantly reducing the cost of Essential, Extra, and Premium. Sony's subscription variously allows you to get PS5, PS4, PS3, PSP, and PS1 games.

Original Story: PS Plus discounts are a Black Friday tradition on the PlayStation Store and Sony is going to keep it up with its revamped Essential, Extra, and Premium services. Black Friday has hit the PS Store and will run from November 18th to November 28th, 2022 and offer a 25% discount on PS Plus.

How much will PS Plus be on Black Friday?

The discount news came by way of notorious PS Plus leaker billbil-kun on dealabs, a French sales website that vets all the bargains posted. The 25% off is not just for new subscribers, but existing ones, too — though it looks like you'll have to subscribe at your existing subscription tier.

If you need any financial advice on this, we highly recommend that you carefully consider Premium at the current time. The addition of retro content has been hit and miss in terms of quality, but it has also been really inconsistent and lacking in games with trophies from the PS1, PS2, and PSP eras. If it gets better, the library will still be waiting for you in the future. Instead, we think Extra has a vibrant catalogue full of content to play, including some of the best games on PS Plus, best games on PS5, and best games on PS4. That being said, Essential is perfectly serviceable and the monthly games do offer variety.
