Hidden games on your PS Plus Premium Trials

By Sean Lawson,

Sony's PS Plus Premium Trials is a fantastic addition for all those that are subscribed to this higher tier. Yet, the feature seems to be maintained poorly, with a staggering amount of games hidden from the Trials list.

PS Plus Premium has had a few controversies since its launch, most notably the lack of PlayStation Classics coming to the service. One feature that seems to fly under the radar for many reasons is PS Plus Premium Trials. This feature allows players to trial a variety of PS5 and PS4 titles before committing to actually purchase them — you can even unlock trophies! Yet, it may come as a surprise to hear that there are actually a number of hidden games on this PS Plus Premium trial service.

Sony's PS Plus Premium Trials is a bit of a mess

Navigating to the PS Plus Premium Trials section now, you will be greeted with a total of 19 titles that you can play for a select amount of hours and learn what each game has to offer. What if we told you that there were actually 25 games to trial, not 19? Honestly, there could be even more than that as Sony appears to be doing a pretty bad job of updating and compiling the list correctly. If you check out our PS Plus Premium Trials list, you will see a plethora of games that aren't included in the list provided to you on PlayStation.

If you check out the images down below you will be able to see the current state of the Trials list and a couple of examples of titles that are not present on the list but are actually a part of the trials service. To access the trials that aren't included on the main list all you have to do is simply search for them on the PSN Store, which is obviously easier to do if you actually know what games to search for. Again, make sure to check out our PS Plus Premium Trials list to see all games that we are aware are currently available.

The six games that you currently have to search for to access their trials are Dying Light 2, Hunting Simulator 2, MLB The Show 22, Pheonix Point, RiMS Racing, and Rollerdrome. As you can see a number of these games aren't particularly small titles either, so why they are missing from the main list is completely perplexing to us — not that any game should be missing, regardless of status. This entire situation feels eerily similar to the PS Plus PC problems that are ongoing.

We are being as diligent as we possibly can here at the TrueTrophies news team and are continuing to keep an eye out for any new trials that pop up without any word or warning from Sony. Once we spot anything we instantly update our PS Plus Premium Trials list — so again, make sure to keep an eye on that page. We want to know what you make of this fiasco? Are any games listed above ones you'd of played had you know about them? Let us know all your thoughts and feelings down below!
