No Persona 6 news to be announced at this year’s big Persona event

By Sean Lawson,

A musical extravaganza is about to take place, featuring your favourite phantom thieves and the absolutely stellar Persona soundtrack. Yet, despite this excitement, the lack of a Persona 6 announcement is a shame.

Persona Super Live P-Sound Wish 2022: Crossing Journey — yes that is the full title — is about to kick off at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, on October 8th and 9th 2022. At these big Persona-themed concerts, there will usually be some form of new game announcement. The likes of Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight, Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight, and Persona 5 Royal were all unveiled at previous iterations of the event. This time around it appears we will not be receiving any new Persona announcements.

Atlus confirms no new Persona news at the Persona concert

In a post on the official Persona Channel website, Atlus has confirmed that there are no plans for any new game announcements at this year's Persona live music event. The post outlines some cool sights attendees will get to see, like a life-size statue of Arsene and various other exhibit pieces. While a shame that we won't receive any news on Persona 6, fans are surely going to have a fantastic time dancing the night away. The event will be filled with live-action versions of all your favourite Phantom Thieves and will feature the phenomenal OST from the Persona series.

The statement from Atlus reads as follows: "There are no plans to announce new game titles at this live event. We are working hard every day to prepare for the best live performance that will satisfy everyone who visits and watches. Please look forward to it."
