All the PlayStation games announced at the THQ Nordic livestream
THQ Nordic unveiled a plethora of new games coming to PS5 and PS4 during the 10th anniversary livestream, including the horror classic Alone in the Dark. Amongst this cult favourite horror franchise were a number of great IPs, some we have not seen for years. We even got to see one of our favourite aliens threaten to Destroy All Humans once more in an upgraded game that will be coming to PlayStation consoles.

Alone in the Dark

All the rumours turned out to be true about this iconic horror series making a return. Alone in the Dark has seen a bit of a rough patch in recent years, with the likes of Alone in the Dark Inferno and Alone in the Dark: Illumination doing nothing but tarnishing this once beloved franchise. Hopefully, now that THQ Nordic has taken over the franchise from Atari, we will finally get a game that does this series the justice it deserves.

The PlayStation Blog revealed some extra juicy information on Alone in the Dark, informing us that Mikael Hedberg will be directing and writing the script for the game, someone who has worked on horror hits Amnesia and Soma. While monster designs will be conjured up by Guy Davis who has collaborated with the legendary Guillermo del Toro. Finally, Jazz legend Jason Köhnen, who has worked on the OST for Doom, provides eerie and haunting melodies to create a tense, twisted and haunting atmosphere.

AEW: Fight Forever

Developers Yuke's look to be helping All Elite Wrestling in making an arcade-style wrestling game called AEW Fight Forever. The game features a huge roster of your favourite AEW talent, a career mode, many customization options, a bunch of weapons to beat your opponents into submission with — or throw a bin on their head — and a set of insane-looking mini-games. There is a lot here to unpack in this short little trailer.

Destory All Humans 2: Reprobed

Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed sees our favourite human killing alien, Crypto, revamped and ready to annihilate us all. The game looks stunning with its new layer of paint to make everything feel crisper, with the destruction Crypto causes looking even more epic and over-the-top than before. We can't wait to jump back into this incredible game and relive all the fun we had many years ago when Destroy All Humans 2 was initially released. Anyone wanting to dive on into this insane little world, you won't have all that long to wait with Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed dropping onto PS4, and PS5 consoles on August 30th 2022.

Gothic Remake

The Gothic remake looks to be an absolutely horrifying time and was a welcome unveiling at the THQ livestream. The trailer showcases this legendary German Action-RPGs bleak and depressing world. But it is only going to get a whole lot worse after we see some horrid-looking spider creatures devour a man at the end of the trailer. So it's going to be that sort of game, is it? Cool.

Outcast 2: A New Beginning

Outcast 2 A New Beginning comes from developers Appeal Studios, who has worked on games like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Escape Game Fort Boyard, and Outcast: Second Contact. The trailer shows off a vibrant and exciting game world, where you use a jetpack to fly around the lush maps and battle against a plethora of interesting-looking enemies that clearly want to see your demise. The game currently has no release date.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake

SpongeBob SquarePants The Cosmic Shake looks as though it will be brimming with the whacky and over-the-top humour we know and love from SpongeBob. The Cosmic Shake takes SpongeBob on a platforming adventure it would seem, in the same vein as Spyro or Crash Bandicoot. This new SpongeBob game comes from the same developers behind Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, Purple Lamp Studios.

Way of the Hunter

Way of the Hunter lets players explore a beautiful and vast open world, where your sole purpose is to go and hunt down the wildlife that resides there. You will have access to a wide range of weapons and attachments that will aid you in your hunts as you make those killing shots. For anyone wanting to get their hunt on, you haven't long to wait, Way of the Hunter will release onto PS4, and PS5 consoles on August 16th 2022. Why not check out the Way of the Hunter trophies to get an idea of what you'll need to do to get them all, unfortunate as it is, there is no platinum trophy to earn.

Wreckreation comes from developers Three Fields Entertainment, who have made games such as Dangerous Driving, Dangerous Golf, and Danger Zone. The studio is actually made up of developers who worked on both the Burnout series and the Need for Speed series, with Wreckreation looking as though it will combine both racing franchises together for an epic time.

That's all the games from THQ Nordic that are coming to PS4, PS5 consoles. Are they any personal favourites here? Let me know in the comments below!
