Cult of the Lamb bug stops PS5, PS4 players unlocking platinum trophy

A Cult of the Lamb bug is preventing players from unlocking the game's platinum trophy on PS5 and PS4. The indie game's developer, Massive Monster, has informed players that a patch is "on the way."

Cult of the Lamb's new bug affects the earning of the Full Flock silver trophy, which we noticed 0% of our tracked players on had yet to earn from the Cult of the Lamb trophies list. The Cult of the Lamb bug has prevented PS5 and PS4 players from unlocking the game's platinum trophy, Godhood.

Cult of the Lamb PS5, PS4 bug affects collecting follower skins trophy

Thanks to a guide posted by user Scaroverse on our sister site, TrueAchievements, we discovered that the bug preventing PS5 and PS4 players from earning the Full Flock trophy was related to the collection of snail shells. According to Scaroverse, snail shells are currently not dropping from killing snails in version 1.0.1 of the game — a resource needed in order to unlock the snail follower and complete your skin collection.

To unlock the snail follower, players will need to bring a snail shell at each of the five snail shrines located across the game's 5 overworld locations. Snail enemies themselves also appear to be bugged, as they apparently stop spawning after you defeat Bishop Heket, the many-toothed lizard boss at the end of the Anura location. In response to players reporting these bugs, the game's developer Massive Monster stated it was "working hard" to address the PlayStation Indie darling's issues.

In our Cult of the Lamb review round-up, we noted that the game had received fairly positive reviews and might even be another smash hit for publisher Devolver Digital. Hopefully, the game can get patched up soon before it loses some of that goodwill with frustrated PS5 and PS4 players trying to unlock the Cult of the Lamb trophies.
