By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,

Sony has officially announced the lineups for the Game Catalogue and Classics Catalogue for the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers for August 2022. The first Yakuza series games are listed along with the leaked Ghost Recon, and more.

The new PlayStation Plus games for the Game Catalogue and the Classics Collection for August 2022 are here and ready to download, distinctly lacking any new PSP, PS1, or PS2 games. The August lineup for the Essential games tier are also available with more games in the Yakuza series.

The catalogue update announced on PlayStation Blog brings 11 PS5 and PS4 games but no new PSP, PS1, or PS2 games to the Classics Catalogue for PS Plus Premium. Some of the titles were already leaked and poorly predicted. However, there are no PSP or PS1 games included in the update for Premium members. One rogue shout this week was the inclusion of The Legend of Dragoon on PS Plus thanks to a certain PlayStation icon Shuhei Yoshida, which now seems to have been delayed or disproven.
