PlayStation's Evo stream to feature new Capcom, Warner Bros reveals

By Lee Brady,

PlayStation will be streaming a live broadcast over Evo 2022, featuring new content and announcements from staple fighting game developers like Capcom, Warner Bros. Games, Bandai Namco and more.

PlayStation has announced 'PlayStation Tournaments: Evo Lounge,' a live show streaming coverage of the Evo 2022 lineup to Youtube and Twitch when the fighting game tournament kicks off on August 5th, 2022. In a bid to entice new viewers to the now part-Sony acquired event, PlayStation announced its Evo stream will feature new reveals from Capcom, Warner Bros. Games, and other companies like Arc System Works.

PlayStation Evo stream may feature new MultiVersus, Street Fighter 6 content

playstation-evo-streamWe already know that Rick and Morty are on their way to MultiVersus, but who else might join them?

PlayStation's Evo Lounge show, which was announced over on the PlayStation Blog, is likely to serve us some exciting new character reveals from games like Warner Bros.' MultiVersus and Capcom's Street Fighter 6 — two games that have been receiving steady info drops in recent months and will both be vying for a spot at a future Evo. SNK's King of Fighters 15, which launched this year with a host of challenging PlayStation trophies, is also likely to see character DLC reveals at the event.

Other companies mentioned include Bandai Namco Entertainment, who may be due a follow-up to that Tekken 8 leak, and Arc System Works, who have just released the trophy-rich DNF Duel, but may surprise us with more Dragonball Fighterz content or even a new game reveal. We'll be tuning into the PlayStation Twitch channel to catch all the news as it comes, but make sure to tune in as well and support the FGC's big live tournament return. Let us know what you would love to see revealed at the tournament too in the comments below!
