Bethesda's treasured Indiana Jones Xbox exclusivity in question

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,

Indiana Jones will be making the move from film to video game again under the guidance of Microsoft-owned MachineGames, developer of Wolfenstein. It was assumed it was Xbox only, now there is hope for PlayStation players.

Microsoft-owned MachineGames is working on an Indiana Jones game with Lucasfilms Games and it has been assumed that it would be an Xbox exclusive. Jez Corden from Windows Central and the Xbox Two podcast has claimed that might not be the case, but is seemingly very uncertain over the whole thing.

Is Indiana Jones coming to PlayStation?

Jez Cordon said: "It isn't [an Xbox exclusive]. I pretty much know it isn't." Rand Al Thor 19, host of the Xbox Era podcast, then says that Corden has "waffled on this. First, you said it was, then you said it wasn't: you go back and forth on these things." Corden responds by saying: "I have never said that it was an Xbox exclusive. The only information I've had about Indiana Jones was that it wasn't exclusive, but that was a long time ago. Maybe something has changed." He goes on to say the information was from about a year ago.

Corden later reiterated that the information was heard a year ago and that Indiana Jones could have become an Xbox exclusive since then. In another tweet, insider Shpeshal_Nick disputed Corden's information, claiming: "I had heard it was exclusive, Jez had heard it wasn’t." Corden responded that he thought Indiana Jones wasn't the licenced Xbox exclusive Shpeshal_Nick had heard about.

At the least, this raises questions about how Microsoft and Bethesda is going to handle putting games on PlayStation. Will big IPs still come our way, do you think? Do you even want Indiana Jones on PlayStation with the Uncharted series around? Let us know in the comments!
