PS5 new firmware update released

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,

Sony has released a new PS5 firmware update called Version 22.01-05.10.00 that comes in at just over 1GB and is available to download now.

Today something glorious happened. The sun rose over the sea in the east as it set over the mountains in the west. Warmth blossomed as the light spread across the sand, just as the brisk cold of night sprung on glistening crystalline cliff faces under the gaze of the moon. Meanwhile, gamers booted up their PS5s and saw a new patch had dropped.

What does the new PlayStation 5 patch do?

What could this new PS5 firmware update 22.01-05.10.00 contain? Why on earth is it 1GB? Toggling to the next page reveals all:

"This system software update improves system performance."

Nature falls back into rhythm as Sony wraps up its morning gift to us all. How generous, I'm glad Sony let me use my MA in English Literature for this. Thoughts on this? What did you get up to this morning? I tried to get up three times and failed, but then the need for coffee overcame me. Keep us updated in the comments.
