EA has four secret games for early 2023

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,

EA has confirmed that four unrevealed games are set to release in Q4 FY23 as part of its end of the financial year 2022, including a non-FIFA sports game, a "major IP", a partner title, and a secretive remake.

The EA earnings report for FY22 has low-key announced four titles that "have not yet been publicly disclosed." All four are set the launch at some point between January 1st, 2023 and March 31st, 2023.

EA has sports, major IP, partner games, and a remake for next year

All four of these secretive games are slated to launch alongside EA Sports PGA Tour — which, in turn, is the first EA golf since the 2015's EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour. It could be UFC 5 landing a blow ahead of schedule, as that is rumoured for summer 2023.

Now, the Dead Space remake has also got an "early" 2023 launch date attached to it — so that eliminates the horror title from being one of the "undisclosed" releases set for that quarter. So, unless EA is lying, it isn't included in Q4 FY23, though, that means Dead Space must be released after March 31st, 2023.

So, that means we have no idea what the sports title or the remake could be, really. The partner title might be a bit more clear, with the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel apparently set for a 2023 release but this has already been announced. Again, that leaves it up in the air if EA considers this publically announced.

The major IP is another interesting one. Dragon Age or the new Mass Effect could be set for a surprise release and, technically neither has had a full reveal, only development announcements. The point is, ultimately, that EA has an absolutely stacked Q4.

Prior to this news breaking, we found out that EA officially dropped the FIFA license (TA link) and the organisation isn't that happy about it. Anyway, what do you think? Let us know in the comments below, and we will see you there!
