Gotham Knights on PS4 is as dead as Batman

13 minutes of new Gotham Knights gameplay footage shows Nightwing and Red Hood at work ahead of the action-RPG's October 25th release date for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC — looks like it's no longer coming to PS4 or Xbox One.

Warner Bros. Games has dropped a new video for Gotham Knights, offering gameplay demo footage of Nightwing and Red Hood. It starts midway through the game's story with Nightwing on patrol in Gotham.

Gotham Knights gameplay

Nightwing begins by launching off a Gotham building and soaring over to beat up a gang called the Regulators using his Flying Trapeze hang-glider jet thing. Red Hood leaps across open-air using Mystical Leap and the pair starts beating up fools. There is then a bike chase before we head to the base of operations, the Belfry.

"Batman is dead. A new expansive, criminal underworld has swept the streets of Gotham City. It is now up to the Batman Family; Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin; to protect Gotham, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals," the WB Games developers note. "From solving mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history to defeating notorious villains in epic confrontations, you must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save the streets from descent into chaos."

Gotham Knights has an October 25th release date but is now only coming to PS5. How excited are you about this? Is it just us or do some of the animations seem a little off? We love the look of Gotham and the Belfry, though! Let us know what you think in the comments.
