PlayStation Now new games for May 2022

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,

Sony has announced the three games that will be added to PlayStation Now’s library for download or streaming in May 2022. This will likely be the last month of the service as we know it, as PlayStation Plus will soon be revamped.

PlayStation Now games for May 2022

Announced over on PlayStation Blog, the extra games being added to PlayStation Now this month certainly have a specific audience. There is a lot of fighting to be done!

Soulcalibur VI

Soulcalibur VI brings weapons for all needs. You will be fighting a few beefy boys, vicious vixens, and wicked witchers to the death in those classic 3D arenas of Soulcal, all while trying to remember what that combo did. This edition of the game brought new battle mechanics and game modes, but as always the highlight for the lone player is the over-the-top story mode. You can make your own fighter and play online, as well. The Soulcalibur VI trophies are set to take you roughly 50 hours, but we have had reports on-site of 25-30 hours.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4

No matter how hard we try here at TT, we never have any idea what is going on in Naruto or its associated games. This one is the 3D fighter series that involves such attacks as lightning glare, fiery pulsing temple, and dramatic fist clench. It looks very pretty indeed and reportedly has a robust story to boot. A good 30 hours will be needed for all the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 trophies, though we are seeing that in actuality, it might take 40 from the reports on TT.

Blasphemous

Blasphemous is another gorgeous action platformer that puts fast hack-n-slash action front and centre. The non-linear levels will take you on an adventure to escape damnation, but just because the game is ultimately about heaven that doesn’t mean God’s own creature designs aren’t ugly as sin. Secrets galore in this startlingly large world will have you scrounging for 20-30 hours for the Blasphemous trophies, but beware the challenge.

What do you think of the games? Looking forward to the new Plus/Now merger? Let us know in the comments!
