PlayStation Plus games for May 2022 revealed

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,

The PlayStation Plus monthly games for May 2022 have been revealed for PS5 and PS4. The three games will join the service on May 3rd along with a special bonus content pack for one.

FIFA 22 (PS5/PS4)

Love it or hate it, FIFA 22 brings together the most footballing content in video games and Cruyff turns it into the back of the net for a complete and comprehensive experience. A career mode will let you build your own club, sign and manage players, play games, and sort out fitness regiments. Online modes let you and your friends compete in head-to-head matches, or together as one community club in Pro Clubs. Likewise, Ultimate Team has a reputation for being an addictive card-collecting mode. You will also be able to redeem a pack for the mode exclusive to PlayStation Plus to help get you started. It also happens that FIFA 22 is pretty good on the pitch this year. That being said, the FIFA 22 trophies are a long affair that will require perseverance.

Tribes of Midgard (PS5/PS4)

Over here in TT towers, we have been pumped on Eggers' new film The Northman for the last two weeks. So, we are extremely pleased to see Tribes of Midgard coming to Plus. It is a survival action RPG that lets you play in co-op or on your own. With up to ten players, you will be venturing into the procedurally generated wilderness and grabbing all the essential materials, resources, and loot to keep the seed of the world tree Yggdrasil safe. There are beasties to kill! The Tribes of Midgard trophies are nice and easy but will take you 50 hours.

Curse of the Dead Gods (PS4)

This single-player roguelike has a pretty great sense of style. You will be battling your way through a temple while killing things and avoiding all those traps Indiana Jones keeps banging on about. You can upgrade relics and weapons to help you through each death. The Curse of the Dead Gods trophies are a bit of an unknown quantity at the moment, so feel free to write a guide when you get a hold of it with Plus!

April's PlayStation Plus games will be leaving the service on May 2nd, while Persona 5 is leaving the PS Plus Collection on May 11th. Will you be grabbing these games? Anything you are excited about? Let us know in the comments!
