Sonic Origins collection spotted after a year of silence By Kes Eylers-Stephenson, 19 Apr 2022 FollowtopicsSEGAKes Eylers-Stephenson Sonic Origins was announced a year ago, but publisher SEGA has not announced anything further about the collection since. Now, however, the compilation has been spotted on the Korean ratings board. The listing is in Korean and was spotted by the gbatemp message boards. It was filed on April 15th but hasn't got any further details other than the Open rating. This basically just informs us that yes — SEGA intends on actually releasing this collection of Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Sonic & Knuckles, as well as Sonic CD with some bonus features and the all-important widescreen support. The game was last seen at Sonic Central 2021 in a 30-second trailer, embedded above. Mostly the emphasis here is on Sonic CD, which has been curiously absent from collections of the games since the Sonic Gems Collection in 2005. Are you excited to get your hands on these five games?
