The Witcher 3 on PS5 delayed

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
Were you prepping the potions for more The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt trophies on PS5? CD Projekt Red has just informed the world that you need to put those oils away as the new-gen upgrade is delayed "until further notice."

Developer CD Projekt Red made the announcement on Twitter. All development on the enhanced PS5 upgrade is being taken in house, rather than having it remain in the hands of Saber Interactive. As a result, the hotly-anticipated version of the game has been removed from the Q2 window. While no reason is being given for the change, CDPR will be "evaluating the scope of work to be done," and won't be given another release date "until further notice."

In a follow-up, CD Projekt noted: "We'll update you as soon as we can. Thank you for your understanding."

Can you think of a reason Saber was pulled? Does this indicate CD Projekt want to keep a tight reign on quality control? Disappointed? Let us know in the comments!
