Re-download Fall Guys now

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is undergoing a bit of an overhaul and that has given developer Mediatonic a huge development headache. Now, in order to play Fall Guys, you will need to re-download the game from the Store because the old launcher doesn't work anymore.

Basically, you just need to delete the Fall Guys PS4 app and download a new version from the PlayStation Store. The old app will stop working on May 9th, 2022 at which point you would have to jump to the new app anyway, so we figure you had best do this now. The new download is free and will reward you with a shark costume for your efforts in this wavy new Fall Guys landscape.

Luckily, Mediatonic is on hand to help with the launcher migration with a help article on its website. There the team explains: "You may have heard the news that Mediatonic became part of the Epic Games family. We’ve been able to add a bunch of new features to the game since joining forces, and are now officially switching over our publisher on PlayStation to Epic, which means you’ll need to re-download Fall Guys from the new launcher on the PlayStation Store."

Now, as an aside for you trophy hunters, the Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout (2020) trophy list (the old app) will be discontinued on May 9th, 2022. Therefore, you will need to get on the trophy train before it is discontinued and the new Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout trophies drop into your life.
