Elden Ring publisher Bandai Namco interested in working with author Brandon Sanderson

By Heidi Nicholas,
After George R.R. Martin's work on Elden Ring, which was a huge hit, Bandai Namco has now apparently expressed interest in working with author Brandon Sanderson.

In the stream above (spotted by PC Gamer), Sanderson was given a box from Bandai Namco full of Elden Ring pieces — such as a cloak and a sword. Sanderson is prompted to read the note that came with it — he doesn't read it aloud, but he does say, "they are interested in perhaps doing something together... I am as well... I actually have a pitch for them in the back of my head... so I may have to send them my pitch and see what they think." Sanderson then added, "I've been thinking of, what would I do if I did a Soulsborne sort of game... obviously I don't get to decide that, but I have it in the back of my head... I have some ideas."

While there's no guarantee that Bandai Namco was thinking of a game specifically when reaching out to Sanderson, a collaboration could still be interesting — what do you think? Let us know in the comments!

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
