Exoprimal bringing PvPvE dinogeddon in 2023

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
Capcom has announced that in 2023 it will release Exoprimal. The new IP features futuristic mech-suits, city-scapes, five players in co-op, and dinosaurs... so many dinosaurs.

Exoprimal has giant vortexes that spew dinosaurs. It doesn't make sense, but we love it. Look at all those prehistoric boys and girls just streaming out of a black hole. Do you know what else there is? Exofighters. This is the armour that your five-person squad of mechanised combat armour will be rocking to take on the dinos. Some of them have shields, some have guns coming out of the backs, and they all can be swapped as you play. Sometimes, you will have to fight other exosuits. Feisty.

Exoprimal's main mode is Dino Survival. The squad-on-squad objective-focused matches will play out while you try and survive the dinosaur swarms by defending zones, transporting important cargo, and messing up enemy teams. Obviously, you're always going to be outnumbered by the dinosaurs falling from the black holes , so teamwork and good communication are required. Leviathan is an AI system that is a posh sat-nav for finding those objective points, locating the dino-holes, and relaying mission tasks.

Exoprimal is scheduled for 2023 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Is it just us, or is this a high-budget EDF? Also: why are we so hyped? Let us know in the comments!
