The Evo 2022 lineup has been announced, and it is jam-packed with some of the best fighting games, and a few fan favourites thrown in for good measure. There is one expected but glaring omission, however.

Evo 2022 is widely recognised as the biggest fighting game championship each year. After recent troubles, Sony picked up the rights to the tournament in March 2021. Evo 2022 will be held between August 5th and 7th in Las Vegas and can be streamed on Twitch. Here are the main stage games for this year's contest:

Each one is going to be played on PS4, which has potentially caused the most glaring omission of Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. games. Nintendo has never been that keen on having the games played at tournament level and has outright sued players for emulating older Smash games at tournaments, but Sony's new ownership of Evo has undoubtedly finalised the decision to cut ties.

It is generally expected that a few big reveals will be made there, and almost certainly that a Street Fighter 6 trailer will be shown. We are super excited about one in particular, to see why you should check out Luke's Guilty Gear -Strive- review. What are your thoughts on the lineup? Are you excited? Let us know in the comments below, and we will see you there!
