PlayStation Plus March 2022 official lineup revealed

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
The PlayStation Plus monthly games for March 2022 have been officially confirmed on the PlayStation Blog. March 1st will see you doing some sword-swinging, running, surviving, and racing. The GTA Online standalone is also being touted.

Ghost of Tsushima Legends (PS5/PS4)

As the bonus game this month, we are sticking it straight on top of the pile. This is Ghost of Tsushima's co-op mode called Legends in which up to four samurai can play. There are raids to complete, simple linear missions, and all-new competitive game modes that were new for the Director's Cut. In Kes' review of Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut, he mentioned that he wasn't too fond of the trippy aesthetic that shrouded the experience in darkness but respected the mode for its gratifyingly short and snappy mission structure. If you are looking for the Ghosts of Tsushima Legends trophies, we would hold off immediately downloading it as the list is directly tied to the main game, forcing you to purchase the (very good) base game if you want the completion. In addition, those trophies will probably take you a while.

Ghostrunner (PS5)

We only ever hear good things about this PS5-only version of sci-fi action game Ghostrunner. The first person action soars as you platform over buildings and decimate foes with a "monomolecular katana." It also runs very well on the new console, so it is the perfect place to play. The game was included in its PS4 form on PlayStation Now, so just be wary of that if this is a game you were going to subscribe to Plus for. The Ghostrunner trophies are also notoriously quite tricky but can be completed nice and quickly in sub-10 hours if you are good enough.

Ark: Survival Evolved (PS4)

Hello, dinosaurs! Hello, strangely formed human avatar! What are you doing with that club? Ah, why does it always have to resort to violence? This game is all about survival, and then crafting the coolest gear on the desert island you call home. There are also dinos. We like dinos around these parts. It has a massive online community, so this is a great way to get involved if that is your vibe. Also, the Ark: Survival Evolved trophies will only take you around ten hours for the platinum.

Team Sonic Racing (PS4)

Vroom, vroom! We are off to the races. This hedgehog guy is now bucking into a cart and zooming around cartoony courses for this fun little racer. This game introduces pretty wild three-person team mechanics that will affect your final rankings and how you play. Indeed, we have a serious soft spot of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed from back in the day, so we will be sure to check this out. Looking around, it seems that the Team Sonic Racing trophies will take you around 20 hours and won't be that taxing.

Grand Theft Auto Online (PS5/PS4 — March 15th)

It isn't teased in the Blog post, but GTA Online is getting a free standalone release on March 15th. There will be a PS5 and PS4 version of this game, so you can start killing everyone in Los Santos free of charge. There is plenty on offer if you are a new player, and a few here from TT have hopped into it over the last few months and have found plenty of enjoyment with friends. Those Grand Theft Auto V trophies though... disgusting.

These games will be available to download from March 1st, which is Tuesday next week, until Monday, April 4th. You have until February 28th to grab last month's games. What do you think of the lineup? Let us know in the comments below!
