Welcome back to the TT Wishlist for March 2022's PlayStation Plus lineup. As usual, we are trying to guess the one PS5 game and two PS4 titles that are going to be popping up for paying subscribers.
In our picks, we have one major PS5 game and two PS4 games that could be part of the PlayStation monthly service for March 2022. These are a mixture of educated guess and fantasy, so we would ask that you leave your own guess below and have some fun!
Destiny 2: Beyond Light (PS5/PS4)
Destiny 2 is our PS5 pick (and PS4 too, we guess). The Witch Queen expansion is here and looking superb. So, why wouldn't Bungie go back to its last expansion, Beyond Light, and give it away to tempt as many players as possible into getting all the new stuff too? This is especially true given the team has recently overhauled the new player experience, though the Destiny 2 trophy list will still take you hours and hours. It is triply true given that Bungie is now a Sony Interactive Entertainment team (not a PlayStation Studio). This expansion brought new locations, more lore-filled missions, big bosses, more shooty guns, and everything else Destiny fans could have wanted... except getting Peter Dinklage back as your Ghost. Anyway, this is a decent guess in principle, we feel!
Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4)
This is our slightly odd pick because everyone you know and love has Guerrilla Games' action-adventure game, its DLC called The Frozen Wilds, and every single trinket on the Horizon Zero Dawn trophy list. The post-post-apocalyptic adventure has been given away as part of the Play at Home event last year, it is part of the PS Now lineup, has had a PC release, and has been discounted more times than we care to count. With all these free and discount offers to drain the game of its financial power, we are starting to wonder if the last card left to play is to make it a part of PlayStation Plus in the month after its spectacular sequel has launched. Our site review of the first game has it as a 10/10 and our Horizon Forbidden West review is equally as full of praise, even if the score is one notch lower. So, Horizon Zero Dawn might just be the major PS4 title on the list!
Far: Lone Sails (PS4)
We would be so excited to get this, not least because the Far: Lone Sails trophies will only take you eight hours. It also happens to be a beautiful looking game with an incredible soundtrack that would make it a worthy play regardless of a trophy obsession. You use your Okomotive to sail across oceans and wheel yourself over lands of a remnant world. As you upgrade your little ship and platform your way through the world, you will have plenty of self-reflective thoughts. The PlayStation Plus shout here comes from the fact that the sequel is dropping onto PS5 and PS4 on March 1st. Let's hope that the Far: Changing Tides trophy list is as satisfyingly crafted as the first and that the game is as gorgeous!
