Welcome back to the TT Wishlist for February 2022's PlayStation Plus lineup. After last months fantastic selection, we are hoping for more quality titles, so we have guessed our way into one potential PS4 game and two PS5 titles.
In our picks, we have one major PS5 game and two PS4 games that could be part of the PlayStation monthly service for February 2022. These are a mixture of educated guess and fantasy, so we would ask that you leave your own guess below and have some fun!
Twelve Minutes (PS5/PS4)
Twelve Minuites is one we are uncertain about. It is out on PS4 and PS5 already but didn't quite have the indie darling pop that Annapurna seemed to have thought it might, given the cast of Daisy Ridley, Willem Dafoe, and James MacAvoy. It came day one to Xbox Game Pass, where Heidi gave it an 8/10, saying that "Twelve Minutes unravels its mysteries so well as to leave you pondering long after you finish the game — I'm still trying to wrap my head around the ending."
That makes us wonder if Annapurna will pop it onto PlayStation Plus for a month just to get people talking about it again — especially since it was so willing to put the title onto Game Pass. However, the long term gain here is debatable, other than just trying to keep Twelve Minutes in the spotlight.
Life is Strange Collection Remastered (PS4)
Life is Strange Collection Remastered is arriving on PS4 on February 1st. That is a Tuesday — the day PlayStation Plus games drop every month. Coincidence? Probably. This isn't an original idea given the obviousness of the dates, but we want it to happen because these games are fantastic. Featuring the first six episodes of Life is Strange, and the epilogue Before the Storm, two of us in the office have these games as favourites.
You play as Max, who returns back to her old town to find out that not everything is as she left it. A girl has gone missing and her old school friend, Chloe, is looking worse for wear. As a storm draws near and Max realises that she has the ability to rewind time, things get funky in these narrative adventures. The writing is great, the plots are enticing, and some of the visuals will stay with you for a long time yet.
Shadow Warrior (PS4)
Shadow Warrior and its sequel are frantic and comedic action games that are due to a sequel on March 1st. While we expect that the third entry won't be getting a day one release onto Plus, perhaps publisher Devolver Digital is willing to give gamers access to one of the two other entries in order to drum up some hype? These two bloody, crazy games are absolutely worth your time, too. A win for gamers and publishers!
What do you think of our picks? Would you swap anything out? Let us know in the comments, and we will see you there!
