Apex Legends PS5 version spotted on PlayStation Network

By Sean Carey,
A PS5 version of Apex Legends could be on the way soon as a listing for the game has reportedly been spotted on the PlayStation Network.

The news comes from Twitter user PlayStation Game Size, who claims to have found a PS5 version of the battle royale game with a download size of 80GB. No other details about the game have been revealed other than its platform and size.

Respawn previously confirmed that a current-gen version of the game was in the works. In August last year, Respawn's then director of communications, Ryan Rigney, confirmed over on Reddit that a PS5/Xbox Series X|S update was in development but didn't say when it would be available. "I WISH I had an update to share, but we can't say anything definitive at the moment," Rigney said. "Trust us though, it's in the works, and we're excited about it too."

Other than Rigney's comments, Respawn hasn't mentioned anything on the upgrade. Season 12 in Apex Legends is due to kick off on February 8th. We could potentially hear something on this PS5 version before then.
