Quantic Dream reportedly working on AAA title alongside Star Wars Eclipse

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream is apparently hard at work on a second AAA game while Star Wars Eclipse is still in development. Apparently, the Paris team is basing it on its The Dark Sorcerer demo shown by PlayStation in 2013.

AccountNGT caught wind of the news on Twitter (thanks, VGC), and suggested that the new comedy project is in co-development alongside Quantic Dream's Star Wars Eclipse game. While the latter was revealed in a cool trailer at The Game Awards 2021, AccountNGT had already tweeted screenshots of Eclipse in the days before it was officially unveiled. That leak gives this much more credence, though please do still take your customary salt with this rumour.

The unannounced title is reportedly taking influence from the 2013 E3 PS4 tech demo, The Dark Sorcerer, which you can see above. Reportedly, the fun skit is set to be turned into a medieval fantasy that includes a non-linear story with traditional Quantic Dream narrative interactivity. Allegedly, this is under the guidance of Quantic Dream’s “core Paris team” and will feature cross-generation support. The report states that it will be “more advanced than Star Wars Eclipse.” Quantic Dream has had no tether to PlayStation since 2019, and the pair apparently really disliked each other. That leaves the door open to a multiplatform release.

Well, well, well! Are you interested in this odd-sounding game? Are you a big QD fan? Let us know in the comments, and we'll be sure to interact with you there!
