Apex Legends' Dark Depths event kicks off next week

Apex Legends gets a new Arenas map, themed cosmetics, and more with the Dark Depths event, which begins next week on January 11th.

The Dark Depths event runs from January 11th until February 1st. The new Arenas map it will introduce is called Habitat, and the devs add that "Habitat 4 is one of the smallest islands in the chain, and is best known as a Leviathan breeding ground." The land has been marked by a waterfall, while the two main POIs are the Cave and the Nest. The Nest has huge Leviathan eggs which can be used as cover, while the Cave focuses on "mid-range and close combat."

Flash Events will also be introduced, and will feature new prizes each week. In the first week, from January 11th to the 18th, the prizes include Apex Packs, an Epic holospray, and a load screen. The second week includes Apex Packs, an Epic Valkyrie holospray, and a Dark Depths Pack. The third week's prizes include an Epic holospray and Epic skin for Revenant and an Epic Alternator skin. Dark Depths Packs, meanwhile, will cost 400 Apex Coins and will let you "have a non-dupe event-limited item."
