Naughty Dog working on "multiple game projects," including Last of Us Factions multiplayer

PlayStation Studios' headliner team, Naughty Dog, has just announced its work on "multiple game projects," alongside mentioning its involvement with the Uncharted movie and The Last of Us TV show.

Co-president and The Last of Us series writer (games and TV show) Neil Druckmann took to the screen to tell us all about upcoming projects. While initially mentioning that Naughty Dog is working alongside Sony on Uncharted and The Last of Us TV show, another surprise announcement was in the can. Druckmann stated: "We are dying to share with you the multiple game projects we have in the works at Naughty Dog."

While this isn't altogether surprising, it is worth noting that the only confirmed project is The Last of Us Factions, which will be a cinematic multiplayer mode for the narrative survival series. Something else is brewing there, which has been hinted at previously though we know that Naughty Dog is reticent to split its team into two separate groups after it did so for Uncharted 3 and The Last of Us.

What do you think of this confirmation? Would you want a The Last of Us: Part III? Would you be after more Uncharted? For us here at TT, we would love to see a new IP. Let us know in the comments!

Hey, I'm Kes! I'm a Staff Writer, and I've been here since 2021. What do I like? The Outer Wilds is top notch. The Witcher 3 blew my mind over the course of five years completing it. I want Burnout back — I really miss crunching mechanical wonders into walls to the sound of Guns N' Roses. Cool, now we are acquainted, I'll see you around.
