The virtual reality game is being developed by PlayStation Studios Guerrilla Games and Firesprite. PlayStation VR2 looks like it will try and come out of the post-post-apocalyptic gates swinging, with a huge IP lined up for a game in virtual reality. Horizon Call of the Mountain is a spin-off of the mainline series that consists of Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. Rumours had this game pegged already, but now we have the official announcement. The team revealed on the PlayStation Blog that "this story will be told through the eyes of an entirely new character. You will also meet Aloy, other familiar faces, and new characters along the way, and we’ll be introducing you to the protagonist of Horizon Call of the Mountain soon." In the trailer above, you can see a little smidge of gameplay footage. The Guerrilla team are still working on Forbidden West ahead of its release on February 18th, at which point the Dutch team will be able to focus its efforts on the new VR title alongside fellow PlayStation Studio and new addition Firesprite.
