At first glance, it is very clear that the normal batch of games — Fortnite, Call of Duty, GTA, and FIFA — are just dominating, In fact, Fortnite is out in a category of its own. The lead that the Epic battle royale has of Modern Warfare is the equivalent of the entire player count that we tracked for Rainbox Six Siege. Savage. The big story this week, though, is the leading PlayStation Plus game. The season where families are brought together and must find some kind of common ground has taken the party to LEGO DC Super-Villians entering at 12th, down five on last week. It stands at a quarter more of the player count as Godfall: Challenger Edition in 14th, down seven. Mortal Shell is actually quite close to Godfall despite being in 19th, down nine. Most of the games in the teens have marginal separation.

Those teenage numbers give us a look at Marvel's Spider-Man, one of the biggest risers of the week. It has soared from 21st to 15th, second only to Assassins Creed: Valhalla's nine place rise from 22nd to 13th. We think the Assassin's Creed rise is because the game was on sale, there was a huge DLC announced, and there is a Yule celebration happening in the game. However, we know that Spider-Man has been lifted by the No Way Home Spider-Man flick that has just been released. It is rather good, if a little too CGI heavy for our taste!

Among Us has finally had a chance to shine (see: murder and lie) on PlayStation and debuts at 20. Great job, and we would actually expect this to rise a little bit over the coming weeks. Assassin's Creed Odyssey has reentered the chart as players partake in a crossover event with Valhalla that shows us a few secrets of the Greek Isles. There is another re-entry for It Takes Two, the co-op GOTY for 2021, that takes the smart little title to a solid 39th!

Honestly, we think that is everything of note in the chart! A lot of small movements, but not too much to shout about! If you do spot something though, give us a comment and we will answer the questions we can and try and include the most astute observations.

Hey, I'm Kes! I'm a Staff Writer, and I've been here since 2021. What do I like? The Outer Wilds is top notch. The Witcher 3 blew my mind over the course of five years completing it. I want Burnout back — I really miss crunching mechanical wonders into walls to the sound of Guns N' Roses. Cool, now we are acquainted, I'll see you around.
