Nixxes first project as a PlayStation Studio revealed, Horizon Zero Dawn devs thankful

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
Nixxes Software, the all-new PC specialist PlayStation Studio, has been shrouded in mystery for a little while. Now, though, thanks to Guerrilla Games, we know exactly what Nixxes' first project was in its new role.

PushSquare spotted the post from Guerrilla on Twitter. It essentially confirms that Nixxes has become the new PC specialist in the PlayStation setup, with its first project as part of the group being to release the major 1.11 patch for the 2020 PC release of Horizon Zero Dawn.

The update brings NVIDIA DLSS support so you can super-sample your games for higher image quality, without the load cost on your PC. AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution is also added, which does a similar thing, while there has been a lot of work to get the game loading much faster on the right PC.

Though both God of War (2018) and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection are both being brought to PC, it is Jetpack Interactive and Iron Galaxy that are porting the pair. If this update is anything to go by, though — Nixxes knows what it is doing. Do you agree? Port a comment down below!

Hey, I'm Kes! I'm a Staff Writer, and I've been here since 2021. What do I like? The Outer Wilds is top notch. The Witcher 3 blew my mind over the course of five years completing it. I want Burnout back — I really miss crunching mechanical wonders into walls to the sound of Guns N' Roses. Cool, now we are acquainted, I'll see you around.
