Wonder Woman game announced at The Game Awards 2021, uses Nemesis System

Wonder Woman is being developed by Monolith Productions, as was revealed at the Game Awards 2021. The surprise appearance of the game showcased a short trailer, though a few more details have been revealed since.

The trailer is basically a brief CGI Wonder Woman without any substantial detail. That would suggest it is quite a way off, though Monolith has been free of development since the release of Shadow of Mordor back in 2017.

A press release informs us of a few key bits of information. It's a single-player third-person open-world action-adventure game, set to "introduce an original story set in the DC Universe and allow players to become Diana of Themyscira in the fight to unite her Amazon family and the humans from the modern world." The release also publicises that the game is "Powered by the Nemesis System, [so] gamers will forge deep connections with both enemies and allies as they progress from a heroic fighter into a proven leader."

Of course, the Middle-Earth games used this to great effect. David Hewitt, vice president of Monolith Productions, notes that "the Nemesis System raised the bar for player-driven storytelling." In a brave claim, the studio head also said that the team is "excited to push the open-world genre forward, combining cutting-edge action with inventive narratives to create a Wonder Woman game everyone will want to play.”

What did you think of the announcement? Are any details catching your eye? Don't sit in your invisible jet now, lasso your way into the comments and speaketh the truth!
