Alan Wake 2 announced for PS5 during The Game Awards

Remedy Entertainment casually announced Alan Wake 2 during The Game Awards with a short teaser trailer, confirming that the game will launch sometime in 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Remedy's creative director Sam Lake joined Geoff Keighley on stage at The Game Awards, and explained that this sequel in the renowned franchise would be new territory for the developer. "We feel that this is the perfect genre to bring together the story and gameplay closer than ever before because the horror story is at the very heart of this," Lake said while discussing the game's new focus. Alan Wake 2 will move away from the more action-orientated gameplay seen in the original Alan Wake and will be a survival horror experience instead.

Remedy will have more Alan Wake 2 goodness to show next year but will be "going dark" for now. Will you be looking forward to Alan Wake 2 launching on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store in 2023? Let us know down below!
