A Plague Tale: Requiem comes to PS5 next year, gameplay looks remarkable

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
A Plague Tale: Requiem has been confirmed in a gameplay trailer shown at The Game Awards 2021 as a PS5 title coming next year. The game is the sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, one of the better PlayStation Plus offerings this year.

In the new trailer, protagonist Amicia is seen travelling the Mediterranean-looking hills. Old sail ships populate the coasts and the sunlight dapples the pine trees sagging with lazy ease. Gorgeous. Nothing can go wrong here, right? Of course it can! Disgusting rats make a gorgeous, halcyon scene very depressing and haunting very quickly. The combat looks fairly unchanged, except that Amicia is rocking a crossbow and a shiv to stab her foes amongst the pervasively gorgeous aesthetics.

Though there is no full release date for A Plague Tale: Requiem, it is coming sometime in 2022. Are you as excited as us? Scrabble around in the comments you little rats.
