Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection release date and details announced

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
Sony has finally revealed all of the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves details for PS5 on the PlayStation Blog. The PS5 upgrades of A Thief's End and The Lost Legacy will arrive on January 28th, but there is still no confirmed PC date.

First and foremost, the release date of this collection of Naughty Dog's finest adventure games is set for January 28th, 2022, although there has been no further word on the date for the PC version other than the fact that it will release in the same year. The game is set to be priced at £44.99/$49.99/€49.99 as a physical and digital PS5 release.

However, there is an upgrade path for previous owners who bought Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, or Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End & Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Digital Bundle. You will be charged £10/$10/€10 for a digital version of the game, which will be available at launch. Physical owners of the aforementioned games will have to keep the disk in the system to play this digital version. Owners of the games through PlayStation Plus cannot receive the discounted upgrade.

In terms of actual upgrades, we are looking at three graphical modes. Fidelity will run at native 4K 30fps. Performance mode is pushing for 60fps at all times, though no word is given on resolution there. A new mode, called Performance+, will be going for 120fps at a 1080p resolution. Instant load times will remove all black screens, and 3D audio is going for that fully immersive experience. Of course, DualSense will be used across various events in the games, including 4x4 travel, rope swinging, and punching.

Finally, nabbing the game between now and February 3rd, 2022 11:59pm PT will get a voucher code for one ticket to see the Uncharted movie, though more information will eventually be dropped into this link. Note this offer is for the Australia, New Zealand, UK, or US regions at certain cinemas. Tom Holland, ahoy!

What are we thinking about this upgrade, team? Curious about save files and popping platinums? Us too, so we will let you know as soon as possible!
