In a first for our Gameplay Chart, none of the Top 16 games have moved. That suggests one major thing: gaming habits have stabilised before Christmas. We imagine, that outside of the PlayStation Plus monthly games for December, this list is pretty much exactly how the list will look until after the festivities. However, that does put the Battlefield 2042 and Call of Duty: Vanguard conflict in a very interesting position. Vanguard is number one, despite alleged poor sales, whereas Battlefield 2042 is at fourth with its rocky launch. The pair are split by quite the margin, with our tracking suggesting that EA’s FPS has roughly 80% of the player base of Activision's annualised franchise. The pair will continue to go head to head for the next few months, so we will keep you updated!

Underneath the huge static top half is a big mover for PlayStation, Ghost of Tsushima. It has been pushed up from 21st to 17th by the PlayStation Store Black Friday sales. Rather interestingly, this seems to be the case with a lot of first-party games. Both of Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and Miles Morales have been bumped up the chart by four and ten places respectively. The Last of Us: Part II has seen the same small bump, though Bloodborne has fallen slightly. Demon’s Souls, though, has finally made an impression on our chart, with its first debut appearance at 36.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the only remaster survivor on the list at 30th, with III clocking in at 60th and Vice City at 53rd. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has been a curious beast, but on sale on the PlayStation Store it is now a better value proposition, too. It’s quite fun seeing Dark Souls 3 still on this list, but more fun still to see Brawlhalla and Astro’s Playroom make returns to our little table in 39th and 40th.

We think that is quite enough for this week! Quite a tired list, don’t you think? Let us know in the comments!
