Hitman 3 — Year 2 kicks off in January

IO Interactive has confirmed that Hitman 3 — Year 2 kicks off on January 20th, 2022, with a full 12 months of content, including new maps and modes.

IOI's announcement first notes the success of the World of Assassination trilogy as a whole, with 50 million players, before confirming Hitman 3 as the most successful Hitman game "of all time."

Year 2 starts in January. "New maps, storylines, modes and ways to play are all lined up for 2022, which is set to be another exciting year," IOI explains. There will also be a new game mode — Elusive Target Arcade — which will offer up a "new way to play Elusive Targets," although we'll learn more about this in January. In spring, we'll also see a "major update."
