Rainbow Six Extraction release date confirmed

By Heidi Nicholas,
Ubisoft has now confirmed that Rainbow Six Extraction will launch on January 20th. The devs also went into more detail both on the Operators themselves, and Rainbow Six Extraction's Buddy System.

A January 20th release date had already been leaked, but Ubisoft's confirmation makes it official. The devs also detailed the Operators and their gadgets in the video above, which is the first in Ubisoft's Deep Dive series for Rainbow Six Extraction. Ubisoft also took the opportunity of detailing Rainbow Six Extraction's Buddy Pass system, which, if you own the game, means you can invite up to two friends to play with you, if they've also downloaded the trial version of Rainbow Six Extraction. Ubisoft says they'll then have 14 days to "access the game while in a squad with you." If you start playing through the Buddy Pass system but then decide you want to get the game in full yourself, you should find your progress will carry over.

Rainbow Six Extraction launches on January 20th.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
