Assassin's Creed Valhalla's first anniversary will be celebrated with new rewards

By Heidi Nicholas,
You can soon grab new rewards in celebration of Assassin's Creed Valhalla's first anniversary, which begins tomorrow, November 10th.

From today, according to Ubisoft, you can grab 50 free Opals and the Mentors Guild back tattoo, while 100 units will net you the Valravn's Claw one-handed sword. Then, on November 11th, a unicorn mount and Assassin's Creed back tattoo will be available for taking part in "Special Event Challenges."

Also arriving today is Title Update 1.4.0, which brings with it the Tombs of the Fallen and its two new trophies. Ubisoft goes into a little more detail about this new content, explaining, "Adventure calls and those curious enough to answer will find the all-new Tombs of the Fallen. In these puzzle-focused tombs, you'll delve into vast, hidden subterranean caverns to be rewarded with tales of mystery, history, and irresistible loot. Use your parkour abilities to make your way through these tombs filled with danger — watch out for traps and poison! Observe and explore your surroundings, and solve environmental puzzles to acquire time-forgotten treasures."

Coming up next for Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the time-limited Oskoreia Festival, which runs from November 11th to December 2nd. "The harvest season marks the start of Odin's Wild Hunt. In this otherworldly tradition, spirits of the dead rise and savagely hunt the weak among the living. Defend your settlement from this harrowing threat by proving the Raven Clan is no easy prey." During the Oskoreia Festival, you'll take part in activities like archery and riding, as well as a "new tournament against spirits."

Will you be celebrating Assassin's Creed Valhalla's anniversary with these new rewards? Let us know in the comments!

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
