Elden Ring gets 15 minutes of gameplay

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
The hotly anticipated Elden Ring gameplay preview has been officially released. There are 15 minutes of epic gameplay to discover, with a look at combat, traversal, exploration, and more. This is PC build footage that is still in development.

A narrator introduces the footage very politely, by saying: "we hope it helps to convey a little of this title's mood and gameplay." Elden Ring is set in the open-world of "Lands Between." Here, a Site of Grace acts as "a place of rest for the player." The gameplay then shows some horse-riding exploration before some meaty combat, when a huge dragon lands for our character to fight while mounted. After walloping that stupid beast, we see the legendary Alexander, the Iron Fist, a pot stuck in some mud. There is a look at the map, which you will slowly unlock by finding fragments, and, by placing beacons, a light will pop up in the real landscape guiding you where to go. A little bit of crafting, and some more combat round off the experience by showing spirit summons in battle. Then, we see some more locations, including some dungeon exploration.

There is also a new preorder trailer to watch, showing all the editions available. Naturally, there is a launch edition, a collector's edition, and a premium collector's edition available for £54.99, £169.99, and £229.99, respectively.

Elden Ring will launch on February 25th, 2022. Go on now, discuss the lore and the combat down below! I know you want to.
