PlayStation Now new games for November 2021 officially revealed

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
The PlayStation Now new games for this month have dropped on the PlayStation Blog and will be available from Tuesday, November 2nd. While leaner than the previous month, the quality is really high.

Mafia: The Definitive Edition

Mafia: The Definitive Edition headlines this month new additions. We head back to the Prohibition 1930s in Lost Heaven — fictional Chicago — where you will be rising through the ranks of the Mafia in this remaster of the 2004 title. Tommy Angelo is the name of your taxi driver, and your time with the Salieri family is only just beginning. The game will only be availably for a relatively short while, leaving on Monday, February 28th — just ahead of the March 2022 games.

Celeste

Celeste is beautiful. Do you know how people overuse that term? Well, in this case, it is needed. The platforming is beautiful. The story is beautiful. The soundtrack is beautiful. Need I go on? The game happens to also have some savage levels and is made by Matt Makes Games, the guy/team responsible for Towerfall which is one of the best local multiplayer games I have ever played. So do Celeste justice, please.

Final Fantasy IX

Taking place in the kingdom of Alexandria, Final Fantasy IX is about war and violence. The medieval fantasy setting really works, and I know for many this is the forgotten gem of the series, in the shadow of VII and VIII. With your party of heroes, you will be playing long into the night with this one.

Totally Reliable Delivery Service

Totally Reliable Delivery Service is madness. Best experienced in local co-op, you deliver packages in a cartoon city using a variety of vehicles. Is that it, I hear you say? Nah, dearest postman, there are wacky physics at play, too. So, what starts out as a simple task becomes infinitely harder when you crash your copter into a billion bits on the side of a skyscraper while your mate hangs from the side screaming for their mother in fear. Let me tell you, that experience is a totally reliable account.

What do you think of the games this month? Is there anything sticking out? Let us know in the comments!
