By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has entered the list just outside the top ten, while Riders Republic is yet to show its face. Here is the top 40 PlayStation Gameplay Chart for the week ending October 31st, 2021.

So, fairly obviously, talking points for the Top 10 are minimal. It is notable that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has slipped slightly, perhaps suggesting that players are tapering off ahead of the release of Vanguard. However, let's be honest, 'tapering off' at fifth is not a bad way to do so. Things are heating up just outside of the Top 10 with Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy placing at 16th. What is particularly impressive with this is that it was released on Friday, so it has only had three days on the market proper. The game has been getting some great reviews, and frankly, for me here at TT, I'm thinking this is my Christmas completion.

SilentJay76_: Guardians of the Galaxy looks really good from what I've seen (but not played.) It'll surely crack the Top 10 next week?
The other new release from last week was Riders Republic, which has not fared quite so well. It is currently bailed out, lying broken at the bottom of a steep cliff at 105th. However, like Guardians, it has been on the market for three days, though Riders did place eighth in the UK Sales numbers compared to Guardians' second (thanks, PushSquare). The target audience might also skew slightly younger, so we would only start worrying if it hasn't made a decent chart appearance after Christmas, to be honest. We have some first impressions over on TrueAchievements, so if you are interested in Riders Republic, give it a look!

Back 4 Blood has kept a steady climb to 20th. Considering this is a full-price purchase on PlayStation, but is on Xbox Game Pass, we would say this is quite a good result. While other games are falling — and Battlefield V is back up at 26th, somehow — it's really very quiet. Various PlayStation games have risen marginally, like Spider-Man and Miles Morales with four and five position bounces, respectively. The big shame is seeing Hell Let Loose nearly leave the list, with an eight-position drop-off to 38th, and it's about to be consumed by new entrants Black Ops III (39th) and Horizon Zero Dawn (40th).

Well, it is a quieter week than most, but thus the cookie crumbles. Let us know what you think or if you spot anything cool. We try and include pithy comments when they pop up, so please get involved with some conversation below and we'll see you there!
