PlayStation indie Little Devil Inside trailer shown, looks fantastic

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
One of the most impressive trailers at PlayStation's State of Play event yesterday was the indie game Little Devil Inside, developed by Neostream Interactive. The action-adventure RPG has a wonderful art style and a charming world to explore.

Further detailed on the PlayStation Blog, the head of production John Choi talks about the way this strange alternate early 40s world has been constructed. That miniature-style map we see in the trailer allows you to explore the world where you will "encounter various events. Some are forced but in most cases, you will have the option to engage or not."

Choi mentions that "you can zoom in further to an actual real-time gameplay level where you can perform all the real-time actions, attend to Billy’s (the protagonist) needs, and fulfil your missions." This suggests a broad variety of activities all tied together through RTS-like travelling. "As such, the pace of the game is designed to try and touch the player’s emotions by giving enough time and space and allow them to “take in” the various atmosphere. Hence, no fast travel."

What did you think of the trailer? It was certainly our favourite! Let us know your thoughts by exploring the comments below!
