PlayStation adds Apple Music support with full PS5 integration today

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
The PS5 now has Apple Music integration, meaning you can now have music in the background while you play. Previously, the system only supported Spotify. May your earholes be ever satiated.

Announced on the PlayStation Blog, your PS5 can now play your music and podcast catalogue from an Apple Music subscription. If you have an account with the service, all you have to do is download the Apple Music Media App, log in, and link your PlayStation Account with your Apple account.

The integration allows you to pull up the Control Centre with a tap of the PS button, select the Music Card, and seamlessly start listening. This will allow you to vibe out to such bangers as Hieronymus Bosch Butt Music by An Dro and James Spalink, or Cornflake by Psychedelic Porn Crumpets while playing new release My Freind Peppa Pig. I wouldn't necessarily recommend listening to those two back to back, though. There is also Music Video Playback if you like those kinds of things.

Will you be using Apple Music on your PS5? How crusty do you like your crumpets? Let us know in the comments on one of those questions, we don't know that we will like the answer to the other.
