Shadow Warrior 3 delayed to "early" 2022

Shadow Warrior 3, which was due to launch this year, has been delayed to "early" 2022, publisher Devolver Digital has announced.

"Shadow Warrior 3 needs a bit more time to sharpen its blades," explains Devolver Digital over on Twitter. A new release date for the game hasn't been specified, but developer Flying Wild Hogs says an exact date and more details on the frenetic FPS will be revealed soon.

The third instalment into the rebooted FPS series sees you reprise your role as Lo Wang, who teams up with former employer/nemesis Orochi Zilla to capture a dragon they released from its eternal prison. Much like previous games in the series, Shadow Warrior 3 blends razor-sharp melee combat with Wang's trusty Katana and fast-paced first-person gunplay for an intense, gore-filled, action-packed experience.

Shadow Warrior 3 will now launch in "early" 2022.
