Apex Legends: Escape gameplay trailer shows off new map Storm Point

The gameplay trailer for Apex Legends: Escape shows off everything coming with the next season, including the new Storm Point map, the newest Legend Ash, and the new weapon, the C.A.R. SMG.

According to the Apex Legends team, Storm Point may "look like paradise, but danger lies within." These dangers come in the form of Storm Point's wildlife, which includes Prowlers, Flyers, and spider eggs. Prowlers hunt in packs while Flyers can be picked off individually. Spider eggs, meanwhile, will hatch if damaged. Clearing out a nest will get you crafting materials while taking out individual Prowlers and Spiders will earn you attachments and ammo. Another change coming with Storm Point is that instead of redeploy balloons, you'll be flung across the map by Gravity Cannons.

The devs also detailed the abilities of newest Legend Ash. Her passive ability, Marked for Death, allows you to see surviving attackers on Ash's map, while Arc Snare, her tactical ability, "damages and tethers" an enemy. Her ultimate ability is Phase Breach which opens a portal — but it's only one-way. Also arriving with Escape is the new C.A.R. SMG weapon, which the devs describe as "the gun for when you’re ready to make a stand and become the last Legend still standing."
