eFootball 2022 update with bug fixes delayed

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
The 0.9.1 patch for eFootball 2022 has been delayed by Konami until early November. With such a rocky start to life, the free-to-play title is likely going to be working out the kinks for a while yet.

The development team announced the delay to the new version of the title on Twitter. "We would like to inform all users that we have decided to delay the release of version 0.9.1 to early November," says the tweet. "We will announce the date and details of the fixes as soon as they are confirmed." A previous update suggested that this version of the game would take care of "issues already reported."

The 1.0.0 update was planned for mid-autumn, but there has been no information about if that release has been affected by the awful launch of the game. It was scheduled to introduce Online Leagues, Creative Teams, Cross-Play, and the Match Pass progression system. At this point, everyone is a little confused about where the pre-release build of the game is: the one that had a better set of gameplay features.

Hey, I'm Kes! I'm a Staff Writer, and I've been here since 2021. What do I like? The Outer Wilds is top notch. The Witcher 3 blew my mind over the course of five years completing it. I want Burnout back — I really miss crunching mechanical wonders into walls to the sound of Guns N' Roses. Cool, now we are acquainted, I'll see you around.
