Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition now has a confirmed release date of November 11th and an all-new trailer. Preorders are live on the PlayStation Store for $59.99/£54.99.

The PlayStation Store listing of the remastered trilogy has the game live for preorder at $59.99/£54.99/€59.99, which is thankfully slightly less than the £70 that was rumoured earlier this week. The description detailed in the store listing is the exact one that was leaked by GTA Forums user alloc8r.

"Three iconic cities, three epic stories. Play the genre-defining classics of the original Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas updated for a new generation, now with across-the-board enhancements including brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more, bringing these beloved worlds to life with all-new levels of detail."

The Rockstar Newswire post with the new trailer notes that all three games will have upgraded controls, specifically with the targeting, updated weapon and radio station wheels, and updated mini-maps. In great news for the TT community, Rockstar confirmed that it is implementing "updated Achievements, Trophies, and more." Now, to remove the old-hat looks of the visuals, the trilogy is rocking a new lighting system with "improved shadows, weather, and reflections; upgraded character and vehicle models; along with new higher resolution textures across buildings, weapons, roads, interiors, and more." This will include updates to scenery detail, like foliage, and increased draw distances to "provide a new level of depth and clarity throughout the world."

Rockstar has also announced that PlayStation users will be getting GTA III on PlayStation Now, with San Andreas joining Xbox Game Pass instead, on November 11th. What do you think of the look of this trilogy? Does it look good enough to warrant a preorder? Let us know in the comments!
